Liverpool will face Leicester City and Anfield on Saturday afternoon. Brendan Rodgers will be back at Anfield, but this time coaching a different team.

BTTS Tips and Stats [Saturday 5th Oct] 2

Liverpool are comfortably occupying the first place in Premier League with 7 consecutive wins since the start of the season. The result is a 5 point gap between them and the other major contender – Man City.

However, there are some indications that The Reds are having some difficulties when they have to defend. They have conceded 1 goal in every one of their home matches, although they were able to win every one of them. At midweek, we witnessed another unsatisfying performance, when Jurgen Klopp’s men conceded 3 goals at Anfield against RB Salzburg.

Leicester City are without a doubt a very serious team this season. After 7 matches, they are finding themselves 3rd in the league, only 2 points behind the reigning champions Man City.

The Foxes’ opening 3 matches away from home were very difficult – visits to Stamford Bridge, Old Trafford and a match with the newly promoted Sheffield. However, Brendan Rogers and his players scored and conceded 3 times and still won 4 points out of these matches. The big question for the visitors is if their best midfielder this season James Maddison would be able to play.

Derby County vs Luton Town – Championship – England

After the departure of Frank Lampard and the appointment of Phillip Cocu, Derby County have definitely are underperforming. Their current 16th position after 10 matches and just 2 wins since the start of the campaign is disappointing.

BTTS Tips and Stats [Saturday 5th Oct] 3

At home, Derby played 5 times this campaign, but only managed to win once, drew 3 and lost another one. Having in mind they almost reached the Championship’s play-off final last season, their performance so far is very poor.

In the Rams’ last four matches at home, BTTS landed with no problem. They scored and conceded 6 times, and despite being the team who scored first in 60% of their home matches, their position is not the one they were hoping for.

Luton Town are currently occupying the 17th position with just 11 points. The Hatters had a poor September when they recorded 2 losses and one win. However, they are not playing that bad away from Kenilworth Road. Graeme Jones’ men managed to win more matches when playing away from their fans.

In terms of goals in visits, Luton are yet to keep a clean sheet. They conceded at least once in their 5 visits since the start of the season. They also score a lot – The Hatters failed to find the net just once against Sheffield Wednesday on 20th August.

Some more stats are mandatory to be mentioned – Luton Town have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 6 matches in Championship. There were over 2,5 goals scored in7 of their last 8 matches home and away.

Freiburg vs Borussia Dortmund – Germany – Bundesliga

Freiburg will face Dortmund on Saturday in Game Day 7 of the German Bundesliga. Surprisingly or not, Freiburg are the team that is taking a better position in the league – 3rd with 13 points.

BTTS Tips and Stats [Saturday 5th Oct] 4

The home side has a better away record – 3/3 wins, but in terms of home performance they managed to win just once since the opening day. A lost against Koln and a draw with Augsburg at Schwarzwald-Stadion means that Freiburg are just 1 point behind the league leaders from Bayern.

Freiburg have failed to keep a clean sheet in the last 3 meetings between the two sides.

BTTS Tips and Stats [Saturday 5th Oct] 5

Borussia Dortmund had a bit of a turbulent start of the season in the Bundesliga. But despite the bad start, they are just 3 points behind the 1st place.

BVB are struggling when they play away from home. In their 3 matches, they scored 2 and conceded 2 on average per game. This is definitely not a title contendor’s form. In those 3 matches, The Black and Yellow managed to win once, drew one and lose 1 match.

In the last 2 matches from the league, Lucien Favre’s men made 2-2 draws with Frankfurt away and Werder Bremen at home. Dortmund really have what to play for, so we expect to see an attacking football and some goals in both nets here.

Prediction – BTTS: YES
